MAR20413 Certificate II in Maritime Operations (Marine Engine Driver Grade 3 Near Coastal)
Marine Engine Drivers work in the engine room of a vessel and are in charge of the operation and maintenance of motorised equipment on small commercial vessels. Modern vessel engines are complex and technologically advanced.
This course will teach you how to confidently operate and maintain main and auxiliary machinery and electronics and is the starting point if you’re seeking a career within the Maritime sector as a Marine Engineer (Class 3).
In addition to successful completion of Certificate II in Maritime Operations (Marine Engine Driver Grade 3 Near Coastal), the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) requires students to be at least 16 years old and successfully complete each of the following:
Completing our course doesn’t guarantee you’ll pass the AMSA final assessment to get your certificate of competency. Passing the exam depends on how much study you’re prepared do, your performance on the day and your confidence.
