We recognise for prior marine industry experience

Industry experienced with no qualification

Are you working in the industry, have lots of knowledge, skills and sea time and no qualification?
  or
Have you started a course and not completed it?

Sea School is committed to working with you to become qualified by:

  • recognising your work history and sea time
  • defining your individual training needs
  • assisting you to navigate the official certification process

To enhance your career or become a compliant commercial operator you may need your formal Coxswain, Marine Engine Driver or Master <24 qualification.

Book an interview

We take the time to talk to you to understand your unique situation; the amount of experience and sea time you have gained and whether you hold any qualifications that may go towards recognition of prior learning (RPL).

We have an interview process that assesses your competency in the qualification you need to acquire and an individual training program will be developed.

Providing evidence

Evidence is anything that supports a claim that you are competent in any of the required learning outcomes needed to achieve a qualification.

Ways to provide evidence are:

  • A CV that details relevant work experience in the maritime industry
  • Letters from employers detailing work experience and sea time
  • Formal qualifications or statements of attainment from other Registered training organisations (RTOs)

Just wanted to thank you and your staff at Sea School. I have over 20 years experience in the teaching profession and work closely with Macquarie Uni & UTS and I can certainly say that your methods of teaching coxswain ticket were spot on.
