FUNCTION
- MROCP Marine Radio Operators Certificate Proficiency
- 27 MHz (UHF), VHF, HF, MF, DSC Digital Selective Calling, EPIRB
- For off shore and in shore commercial crew; and recommended for recreational boaters
- You will learn the stations, the language of calling and receiving
- Learn the phonetic alphabet and radio etiquette
- Understand the frequencies to use on each band
- Troubleshooting, batteries, antenna, and so on
- How to log all applicable radio activity
COURSE
This intensive course operates every month at Pyrmont and combines:
- 1 day: 8am to 5pm
Classroom theory and radio operations includes
1 hour of final assessment
Training cost 1 unit: $275 - Includes Marine Radio Handbook and external government testing (approx <$90)

REQUIREMENTS
- To gain endorsement the candidate must successfully complete one (1) unit of competency, as listed below.
- You are then awarded a Certificate from the Office of Maritime Communications, and a Statement of Attainment in Marine Radio from Sea School Australia
- This unit is a requirement for Certificate II Coxswain and Certificate III Master 5
