This intensive 2-day course is very popular. Participants include recreational boat owners and their friends, volunteer crew, sailing club members, competitive sailors, and is a compulsory OHS unit for GPH Deckhands, Coxswains, Engineers and Masters.
Day 1 includes face-to-face teaching in the classroom as well as demonstrations on donning a life jacket, use of the EPERB, and the essentials in the grab bag. The step-by-step presentation and handbook will help you achieve a successful result in the worksheets and multiple choice questions.
Be prepared for the practical day 2 on Sydney Harbour aboard the training vessel "Sydneysider". This is an exciting experience with many challenges throughout the day, and our professional in-water and on-board trainers will assist the young and the old. During the in-water Sea Survival drills and tasks, the trainer is equipped with a Shark Shield for your protection.
