Bring

Photos:1 passport size photo for student file
2 passport size photos for the NSW Maritime application after the course.
Gently, clearly, and in small print write your name and date of birth on the reverse side of each photo.
Identification:Australian Drivers Licence and/or NSW boat licence preferred, or
current passport and Medicare card, or other 100 point identification.
Requirements:All participants must adhere and accept the SEA SCHOOL guidelines and requirements.
First Aid:Attend an external HLTFA301B Apply First Aid course, or bring your current 'Apply First Aid' Statement of Attainment or similar certificate.
Academic Record:Evidence of prior learning (RPL) from organisations such as TAFE or Registered Training Provider particularly in maritime or associated industry, example: aged deckhand certificate, STCW95.

Wear

Clothing:Work or casual clothes for Days 1, 2 3, 4.
Footwear:Deck shoes, joggers, sandshoes or work boots (NO THONGS).
Sea Survival Day 3: Wear work or casual clothes for line handling. These same clothes will be worn late in the day after sea-survival.
In-water sea survival clothing to include at least four (4) top layers, such as singlet, 1 or 2 t-shirts or long sleeve shirts, sweatshirt; long warm pants such as jeans or track pants, and you may wear thin tracks underneath or stockings; warm beanie or hat; no wet suits or dive suits allowed.
Old footwear: sandshoes, dive or yacht booties, joggers or 3 pairs of socks.
Add a bottle of water, large towel, warm jacket, and strong large plastic bag for wet clothes; BYO lunch if vegetarian.
