Payment Prior to the Course

The course must be paid in full prior to the course starting date.

Skills Recognition for Commercial Courses

If you have prior learning or work experience and are enrolling in a SEA SCHOOL course, we recommend you also lodge a skills recognition form to formally apply for course credits where eligible. For example: Marine Radio, First Aid and units within the Maritime Training Package.

To do so, you may use our Interactive Skills Recognition Form. Alternatively you may contact us to discuss your application or to arrange an appointment with a training officer.

Refunds and Cancellations

If you have not yet paid for your course and wish to cancel, please assist us by contacting the office as soon as possible.

If you wish to cancel your booked and paid for course and receive a full refund, you must:

  1. Give at least five (5) working days notice in the case of Boat Licence courses, or
  2. Give at least ten (10) working days notice in the case of Commercial courses.

If you wish to do so, please contact the office as quickly as possible so that your place may be given to another. Then confirm in writing by email to info@seaschool.com.au and your refund will be made within 10 working days.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide refunds for those bookings which are not cancelled within the minimum number of working days. In those cases, you may instead elect to transfer your booking to another date, course or person within a 3 month period, subject to availability. Refer to Transfers below for more information on transfers made at late notice.

We are unable to offer any refunds for courses which have already commenced.

Transfers

If you wish to transfer your booking due to work, emergency, other difficulties, we can arrange to have your booking changed to another date, course or person within a 3 month period, subject to availability.

In this case, we ask that you:

  1. Give at least five (5) working days notice in the case of Boat Licence courses, or
  2. Give at least ten (10) working days notice in the case of Commercial courses.

If you are unable to give the required amount of notice, a request for a Late Notice Transfer may still be made. Late Notice Transfers will not be eligible for refunds in case of cancellation at a later date.

In either case, to request your transfer, please contact the office as quickly as possible so that your place may be given to another. Then confirm in writing by email to info@seaschool.com.au.
