The Compulsory CourseTo obtain a NSW General Boat Licence and/or PWC Licence, applicants must complete three compulsory steps: 1) A safe boating course, 2) A knowledge test, and 3) Practical boating experience. One method of satisfying the safe boating course requirement is via the SEA SCHOOL online presentation. The course covers the knowledge required to successfully complete the tests for the NSW General Boat Licence and Jet-ski (PWC) Licence for anyone 12 years and over. You can also come in to do the test or practical with SEA SCHOOL. Online Course RequirementsTo view the course, you will need a browser capable of viewing Flash. Furthermore, once you have completed the online course, you will receive a Certificate of Course Completion, which is a printable PDF file. The Certificate of Course Completion must be printed so that it can be presented to the assessor at the time of your test. After the courseThe Certificate of Course Completion must be taken to your chosen testing venue. Without your completion certificate, you will be unable to sit the licence test. Additionally, the general licence test must be successfully completed before the PWC test can be attempted. Bookings for licence tests are essential. You can complete the test at a SEA SCHOOL location only. SEA SCHOOL also offers practical boating experience for those wishing to satisfy the practical requirements.
