  GETTING YOUR BOAT LICENCE
THE PRACTICAL WAY

Sydney, Australia July 2007
You can choose to obtain a NSW boat licence simply by sitting the NSW Maritime Safe Boating Course online, but what you don’t get is... valuable on-the-water practice where you can experience first-hand; docking a vessel, setting a spring line, or feeling the effects of wind and current.

No boating trip is worth injury, damage or loss of life through a lack of knowledge of the rules or practical experience.

Sea School's 1 day Boat Licence Course combines a balance of theory and practical boat handling designed to get you ready for sea with a NSW Maritime general boat licence.

In our boat licence course you will learn all the rules of the road, which side of the channel you should be on, what the channel marks mean and more, learning from experienced skippers how to drive a boat, as well as the skills required to berth, anchor and rescue someone who's fallen overboard.

Anyone 12 years and up can obtain a boat licence. Sea School's practical boat licence course is held weekly, its great fun and chances are you'll be inspired to learn more... become a Deckhand, Coxswain or a Skipper!
